Direct Care removes the requirement for insurance to pay for services provided by Golden Pediatrics. This allows for longer appointments, transparent costs. Insurance may still be used to pay for services provided by laboratories, imaging centers, specialists etc.

Each house call appointment slot is 60 minutes. This allows for ample time to discuss your concerns, evaluate your child, and administer any treatments that are recommended.

Each 60 minute appointment is $300 and covers the visit with the doctor for one child and includes travel to patient’s home, indicated rapid tests and treatment. An additional child may be seen per 60 min appointment slot, for an additional cost. No more than 2 children per 60 min appointment can be scheduled to allow adequate time to attend to each child’s individual needs.

During the visit the doctor will obtain a history, perform an examination and order/conduct any tests, prescriptions or other therapies that are indicated. After the visit, a copy of the visit note will be forwarded to the patient’s PCP and be available on the patient portal.

Limited procedures like ear wax removal, breathing treatments for mild asthma attack usually can be performed during a visit, as indicated by the doctor. However, we do not complete any wound closure (i.e. suturing, stapling), incision and drainage, casting etc.

Golden Pediatrics does not conduct annual physicals. We encourage you to obtain your annual physicals/well child checks from your primary care physician.
